Our marble mosaic is produced by one of Italy's smaller but specialised factories with the emphasis on quality and is sold in the "tumbled" state. This means that the marble mosaic is cut from larger tiles and then subjected to an abrasive, agitated process which softens and "ages" the surfaces of the tile.
We do not treat the tiles before sale, preferring to leave the choice to you, whether natural or wetlook.
PLEASE NOTE - our product is high quality and unfilled and should not be be confused with cheaper and more porous, filled marble mosaics, which will have a limited life span and be more susceptible to staining and degradation. A high quality marble may cost more in the short term but will last for a very long time unlike lower priced tiles. This advice is particularly relevant to travertine tiles, as this material is often much softer and less resistant to wear than most marbles.
